Job Duties: Perform expert-level and complex work involving the troubleshooting and repair of electric and hydraulic elevators, escalators and associated electro-mechanical equipment. Utilize schematic diagrams, technical manuals and drawings to perform related work. Work closely with engineers and management to resolve problems of the highest technical difficulty, and drive a motor vehicle. Requirements: Eight years of full-time satisfactory experience at the journey-level (i.e. fully-trained, knowledgeable, proficient and competent mechanic) in the diagnosis, trouble-shooting, inspection, adjustment and repair of electric and hydraulic passenger or freight elevators, escalators, and associated electro-mechanical equipment, or the equivalent. This position requires a Motor Vehicle license that is valid in NY State at the time of appointment.
